3rd Hunters on Horse
In January 1918 the 3e Lansiers is split into two groups. The first group becomes the Light cavalry Group of the 1st Army Division, the second group as the Light cavalry Group of the 2nd Army Division.
In January 1920, the second group was renamed 3rd Hunters on Horse Regiment. On February 10, 1926, the regiment was dissolved and was no longer re-established during the 1939 mobilization.
On March 13, 1952 the Regiment was brought back to life as a reconnaissance unit to be abolished again in 1960.
In 1969 the 3rd Hunters on Horse becomes the "Battallion Léger" of the province of Hainaut.
