At the front you can still see this helmet was an infantry helmet.
 
The helmet is cleaned with water only.
In this article I write what I did and how I did it, it is just my way, by no means I'am thinking I know it all.

Helmet size = C
There were 3 sizes: B, C and D with interiors between size 54 and 62.
